Sensory Friendly Day
July 8th, 2026
We're happy to announce that Sensory Friendly Day will be coming back to the fair in 2026! This is a time when fairgoers come and enjoy their favorite parts of the Fair—seeing animals, grabbing a tasty treat, playing in the Kidz Zone, and more! Designed for guests with sensory sensitivities and their families & friends, this special day offered a more relaxed fair experience, and we're excited to be bringing it back in 2026!
Before the Fair:
- Social Story: You'll find a new social story and sensory friendly map below to ensure that you know before you go!
- Sensory Friendly Map: check back here in May for an updated map showing details like volume, things you can touch, and things you can smell!
At the Fair:
- Don’t miss the Sensory Tent, located just south of the Poultry Barn near the Kidz Zone. Inside, you’ll find:
- 10 sensory go bags (free to any Fairgoer for rent while supplies last!)
- Resources and info from Autism United of Wisconsin
- Carnival rides begin at 4:00 PM and will run at a reduced sound level until 5:00 PM—perfect for Fair fun without the overwhelming noise.
