Support Local Youth!

The Animal Auction & Youth Celebration is a great opportunity for community members and businesses to support the hard work and efforts of Jefferson County Youth!

By becoming a bidder/buyer of the Animal Auction & Youth Celebration, you will support youth financially with their future endeavors while also having the opportunity to fill your freezer! Look below for more ways to support and participate in this year's festivities!

Auction Exhibitor Requirements

All exhibitors need to meet the following requirements in order to participate in the Animal Auction. See Auction Guidelines below for details


Requirements (pre-Fair):

May 5th

  • 840 Ear Tagged, and DNA on file with the Fair Park office

May 23rd

  • YQCA Certificate on file with the Fair Park Office:
    1. Upload this into FairEntry, department 000: YQCA or email to fair@jeffersoncountywi.gov

June 9th

  • All Auction Grant Applications must be complete

June 12th

  • Last day to enter new bidders. See the button below for a link to the list of buyers as of June 3rd

  • Last year exhibitors, complete this form and submit it with a picture of yourself to auction@jeffersoncountywi.gov

July 8th-9th: after animal drop off

  • W-9 on file at the Fair Park office - see below for times
    • If you filled out a W-9 in 2024, you do not have to do this again! If you're unsure about your W-9 status, contact the Fair Park office at 920-674-7148

July 8th at 5pm (beef, sheep, goat, swine, dairy) OR 7pm (poultry)

  • Auction Exhibitor Meeting

Requirements (during-Fair):

Thursday July 10th - complete by date

  • Sign Auction Guidelines for each exhibitor, either printing or finishing electronically. Mail to the Fair Park OR email to auction@jeffersoncountywi.gov when completed. Click the button below for the document.

  • Complete your Declaration card

Friday July 11th

  • Help Auction Setup/Takedown
  • Check for errors (your name, title) by 11am! Draft will be available no later than 9am

Saturday July 12th

  • Auction Withdrawal Form due by 10am if not participating

Saturday, July 12th

  • Support/Buyer Recognition Cards are up one hour after auction

New Prospective Bidders: If an exhibitor has a new prospective bidder, they should first check the 2024 Buyers list below to make sure they are not already registered. If the buyer's name is not on the "2024 Buyers" list, they may do one of the following options.
  1. Fill out the "Enter Buyer Information" form below OR
  2. Contact the Auction Coordinator. Email jncpellmann@gmail.com or call 920-650-4478 with the buyer's name, phone number, and address.

Bidders from 2024: Information is automatically entered in the FairEntry system for bidders that were entered for the 2024 Jefferson County Fair Animal Auction & Youth Celebration. If an exhibitor or bidder wants to verify their information is enter, contact the fair office at 920-674-7148.

Animal Auction Grant Application

Youth participating in the auction at the Jefferson County Fair have the option to apply for the Animal Auction Grant. This grant is designed to provide support for Jefferson County Fair animal exhibitors interested in further enhancing/advancing their Fair participation in one of the respective animal projects (Beef, Dairy, Sheep, Swine, Poultry, Rabbits) at the current year’s Fair. Funds for these grants result from proceeds raised during the Silent Auction at the Animal Auction of the previous year.

Qualifications
  • Applicants must be active Jefferson County Fair Junior division exhibitors between the ages of 8-19.
  • Applications must be submitted by June 9th, 2025 for consideration
    • Exhibitors may fill out the grant application on this website (below) OR print out the PDF and mail it in to 503 N Jackson Ave, Jefferson WI 53549
